This 2009 release probably got by a lot of American movie goers as it wasn’t released in the states save the DVD edition. In a short it’s an English version off Gran Torino but better. Michael Cain portrays Harry Brown a retired war vet whose wife is terminally ill and who’s only friend is a crazy old chess player who he meets at a local pub. On what has to be the worst day of his life his wife dies and his friend is murdered by local gangsters. When the cops refuse to take a stand Harry Brown takes it upon himself in classic vigilante form to clean up the streets. And boy if those streets aren’t the cleanest streets you’ve ever seen when he’s done. There are plenty “Get off my freakin lawn” quotes and there is more than enough cool kill shots to go around. And lets be honest Michael Cain is the man. Get Hip!
By The Way: I usually post trailers but this clip is...I think it gives you a better idea of whats really good with Harry Brown
