Based on the best selling novel with the same name, “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” is a gripping adaptation which tracks the exploits of a female hacker and a recently ostracized financial journalist. The journalist, wrongly accused of producing false sources, is hired by an old rich man to look into the disappearance of his favorite niece who went missing almost 40 years ago. While doing a back round check on the journalist, Lisbeth our heroin, discovers the case files on his computer and finds the first clue the case has had in a long time. The deeper she digs into the affluent families past the more disturbing the secrets she begins to discover become. Eventually Lisbeth (hacker) finds her self in a dangerous game of deception and catch-that-psycho ensues.
This movie was surprisingly good for a “red box” selection. You should know, however, that it is completely subtitled and contains 2 pretty disturbing rape scenes. Even I had to look away. That aside it will be hard for you to not become entrenched in the world of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”
